In hydrocyclones, the liquid is the fluid medium. There are two design classifications for cyclones. Uniflow or swirl tube cyclones are designed so that the clean gas or liquid leaves the cyclone in the same direction that the inlet gas flows. Uniflow cyclones are often seen in series and do not contain a conical section.
Abstract This publication provides a general text on hydrocyclones from basic theory through to practical aspects of hydrocyclone design, operation, installation, selection, scale-up and specific applications. In particular, it addresses developments in hydrocyclone technology over the last two decades.

Although there are many configurations, most Hydrocyclones have a cylindrical upper (feed) section, with either a tangential or involute style feed inlet, followed by lower conical sections ending with the apex. Designs that combine rubber-lined, bolt-together sections makes them simple to operate and maintain.
· There are various design parameters of hydrocyclone which are as follows: Cone angle: se, 16° cone angles were chosen [7] .The larger the hydro cyclone diameter, the coarser the separation. The included angle of the cone section is normally between 10° and 20°. Cone section length: The length of cone depends upon the
